How I got started on this path<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I stumbled across these skills completely by accident. Like many lecturers, I was facing disengaged classrooms, students not studying my materials, complaints on my desk, and high dropout rates. I tried everything – flipped learning, new tech, different teaching models – but nothing stuck. On top of that, I had students struggling with autism and anxiety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By chance I came across the power of communication and presentation skills.
After attending a short webinar, something clicked. This opened a door to an entire batch of skills that subconsciously I knew existed, but my mind had been closed to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I dedicated the next few years in further training and learning these skills. As I practiced these skills and implemented them in my classes, I saw my relationship with each group of students transform. Students outcomes started to increase, less students were dropping out, and complaints went down. My own enthusiasm for teaching was reinvigorated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is when I knew I had stumbled onto something bigger than a new teaching model! It was a skillset that could transform that classroom experience for both educators and students. This skillset isn’t just for performers or keynote speakers; they’re a game changer for educators.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Professional Background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With nearly 15 years in higher education, I\u2019ve taught thousands of students from Certificate 2 to Diploma in VET and also at Associate Degree level. I\u2019ve since trained extensively in advanced communication techniques and now I help educators transform their classrooms by unlocking these skills to elevate their teaching at the 2025 National Vet Conference. In my spare time I coach young kids in gymnastics where I love to inspire the same enthusiasm for learning in a fun and exciting way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
